Cameron is a financial and risk specialist with three years of experience developing financial, socioeconomic and risk assessment models at the operational and strategic levels for Indigenous communities, local governments, businesses, and non-profits. Cameron has knowledge and applied experience collecting, consolidating, and analysing complex quantitative and qualitative data using forecasting techniques, real option valuation and statistical techniques to facilitate sustainable data-driven decision making and the establishment of strong relationships across organizational and cultural silos.
Cameron studied International Business in Quebec and South Africa and obtained a master’s degree in finance from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax Cameron’s research has focused on the impact of mobile technologies on unbanked populations and the effectiveness of alternative risk financing instruments in due diligence assessments and compliance.
Cameron’s work with Impact Resolutions has involved strategy development for Indigenous businesses seeking to expand their social impact, target additional markets, obtain additional grant, debt, and equity financing, and restructure their capital and partnerships. Cameron has also applied his skills in pairing technical analytical methods with organizational requirements and contextualizing their use to create and implement mutually beneficial solutions in the establishment of Indigenous non-profit organizations.
Cameron prides himself on his experience working with stakeholders ranging from academic research institutes to municipal governments and Indigenous businesses. He believes strongly in the importance of professionalism and humility and their necessity in establishing strong relationships based on a shared vision.
