Meet The CEO

Since 2016, Pepita Elena has owned and operated Impact Resolutions in Canada, with a focus on impact assessments and Equitable Origin (EO) TM100 ESG audits. She leads a team of experts in ecology, water and air quality, and socio-economics. Her areas of expertise include human rights, ethics, gender, intersectionality, community health, socioeconomics, labour, and cumulative effects.

A decade ago, when Equitable Origin (EO) began developing the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) tool, FPIC-360, Pepita contributed to the conceptual work by participating in working groups and conducting individual reviews. These efforts later informed the Assessment Framework for EO100’s Performance Targets, where her primary contribution focused on methodology based on her 15 years of experience at the time.

Today, Impact Resolutions aims to understand diverse perspectives and lived experiences, especially in the context of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent. This includes both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, as well as individuals affected by industrial projects.

Pepita has enjoyed mentoring youth and Indigenous leaders, supporting future generations who often lack recognition and resources. She works with industries, regulatory bodies, governments, communities, and non-profits, and volunteers at the Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects, creating a curriculum aligned with natural and universal laws.

In 2025, she launched a new corporation in La Paz, Mexico, called Soluciones de Vida | Husna Healing. Soluciones de Vida is the Latin American counterpart to Impact Resolutions, offering additional translation services for local communities and businesses facing competition from English-speaking markets, as well as support for low-income immigrants with limited Spanish proficiency. While both are corporations, Soluciones de Vida operates similarly to a non-profit. Husna focuses on helping professionals and retirees transition from a career-centred life to a heart-centred one, supporting families dealing with loss, and assisting those seeking end-of-this-life care. Her creative pursuits include percussion, tuning fork therapy, Jungian dream analysis, and natural medicine, which she integrates into her life through writing, painting, and meditation.

This holistic approach is the foundation of both Impact Resolutions and Husna. It reflects Pepita's journey, combining her leadership at Impact Resolutions with her calling at Husna.

We offer remote and in-person short-term or long-term stays in La Paz.
